Heritage apple trees

We grow a selection of grafted heritage apple varietals from across Europe, chosen to do well in Scotland's climate. Varietals we grow at present come from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and England. We have a selection of eating, cooking, and cider apples.

All of our apples are grown in 4L pots on MM116 rootstock, which is the medium option available with a final size of 3-4 metres, and suitable for most gardens and small orchards.

Our trees are one year old whips and grown in pots. We do not undercut the tap root or prune these trees, making them ideal for establishing young.

You will usually need one other apple varietal for pollination, sometimes two for triploids (like Bramley). Self-pollinating varietals will be marked as such.

You can find a lot of fantastic information at our friend Phil Knott's nursery here: https://www.drumfearntrees.co.uk/fruit-trees.
