LIMITED EDITION: Hedgerow starter pack (10 metres)
Hedgerows are habitat-rich, value-adding features - when chosen appropriately! This hedgerow starter pack gives you the main ingredients for a long-lasting hedge that provides colour, forage, fruit, and joy throughout the year:
- 20 hawthorn
- 20 blackthorn
- 10 dog rose
We usually advise on a minimum five plants per metre of hedge. Each starter pack provides everything you need for ten metres of hedging plants.
Tree stakes and guards not included.
NOTES:
Should you wish to increase the variety of trees in your hedge, you can supplement these with, for example, wych elm, hazel, crab apple, and holly. We strongly advise you to keep elder out of a hedgerow due to its vigourous nature - it will simply outcompete the other species.
You can also intersperse your hedges with individual standards (trees that are allowed to grow to their full height and are not cut regularly like a hedge), including oak, wych elm, ash, and others.
